Late Night Lessons I Have Learned (Letterman style)

10. It would be nice to get there earlier than Noon. Perhaps the day before or at least by 8-9 AM.

9. Bring at least three or more cell phones that way you will be able to find the rest of your family after rushing in to find the best seats.

8. Do NOT line up in front of the Booth Memorial or you'll suffer bodily injury with the rush/crush of the crowd. If you do line up there, then see number 10.

7. Become a photographer and be able to sit on the floor while working.

6. Get Press credientials and be able to write about KU sports for a major or mid-major newspaper in Kansas.

5. Become a FOB or a VIP. FOB---Friend of Bill's. Okay, that one is a little impossible. Or become one of the entertainers so we could get great seats.

4. Work for a radio station and get press passes for your family. I know this would be a good deal. My mom worked for a radio station and we got press passes for the Royals in the seventies, it was great! :) I miss that perk.

3. Make sure at least one of your children works for ESPN and is an announcer. If not ESPN, maybe ESPN plus (like Dave Armstrong) another perk of the job is to bring your family.

2. Become a member of the faculty, see reason number 5.

And the top lesson I've learned:

1. Make sure your son or daughter is talented enough to become a blue chip basketball recruit so you can sit behind the bench!
