I got see them both!! As soon as the concert ended we hightailed it home, listed to 98.7 FM and called S at half time (just before the concert started) and found out KU was ahead. Russell Robinson had a wonderful night!! He was the high scorer. We just got on the tail end of the game. We had heard it was a blow out, but then Georgia Tech was gaining on us. It was pretty darn scary towards the end of the game. Sherron Collins was practically trapped behind the baseline and he was "planning" to in bound the ball, but he had no room to move. So instead, thought he would bounce it off the leg of a GT player. Well, it got botched. GT player picked up the ball under the basket and it was a two-point game with just a few seconds left on the clock. At the time out, you see Bill asking Sherron what happened and Sherron trying to explain himself. Then someone fouled Sherron. The graphic on the screen said something about Collins and his free throw attempts. Well he proved them wrong and sunk those two free throws. (So there, ESPN). Then GT inbounded the ball and there was a bad pass and Sherron intercepted and put it in for a layup. Game ends!! What a thriller! K1's game is on Saturday and ours the following Saturday.----------
It was really nice to see the new music teachers handle the kids this year. The new band teacher is quite young and is very professional. Compared with last year's teacher, he is a breath of fresh air! The bands seemed very polished. I was especially impressed with the 6th grade band. They actually played better than the previous ones and he had them playing more songs as well. The band teacher also directed the 7-8th grade singing. For his first time, Mr. Br did quite well. I was impressed. For the music teacher in J's grade, Ms. H, she was a youngin too. She had fun directing the kids and was quite at ease with the crowd. It was nice to see new blood pumping into the music program they did very well. I guess I had grown tired of Mr. W's "same old" Christmas programs. Thanks to the two new teachers!

We also got to visit with my friend (Law) ex-boyfriend. He has been married to one of the music teacher's at our grade school for almost 3 or more years. It just seems so funny that we seem to talk to Law's ex's instead of her. I think DW is a nice person and it's too bad it didn't work out with them. If my friend would have stayed with DW then I think we would be closer (she would have stayed in A town). But since things happen for a reason, DW wouldn't have his young son and we wouldn't see him at all. Things work out the way that they should. So it was nice to talk to the "official page turner." :) Hopefully we will see him around more at H music functions.
