KU Wins!! 601 wins/1,000 points

What a game! KU played Arizona of the Pac-10 Sunday night. It was not an easy win. This was the first real challenge that the Jayhawks have had in their early season. It wasn't easy listening to the ESPN announcers either. Ron Franklin and Jay Bilas (ex-Duke basketball player) called the game and were singing the praises of Arizona great "Chase" Buddinger was. And of course they had to bring up the fact that a "Chase" Daniels QB from Mizzou beat KU Football team last night. I was sick of hearing the name Chase! (with the exception of KU's own Chase Buford, who saw no action tonight).

At half time the score was tied 40-40. After the half, KU was looking sluggish. It really didn't look great. We had slippery hands, not great on rebounds and too many fouls.

The star of the game, who was only supposed to play 20 minutes the whole game, was Brandon Rush. He had the steals, the great shots and nearly sunk in a half court shot at the end of regulation play. He did have 1,000 career points in this game. At the end of regulation play, KU and Arizona was tied at 62 points.

The end of the game Arizona had two players foul out of the game and one of them was ESPN's darling, Chase Buddinger (who also shot an air ball during the contest!). That makes 601 wins at Allen Fieldhouse for the KU Jayhawks. The top scorer for KU was Darrell Arthur with 20, followed by Brandon Rush with 17. It was nice to see KU win this weekend!!
ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!
